- Our traditional festival- Dragon Boat Festival is on the fifth day of May in lunar calendar. It is a traditional habit to enjoy this festival for our Chinese since over two thousand years. The “dragon boat for greeting the festival• folk merged in the community” is the important part of the serial cultural activities of “hand in hand”, which will continue to cover the 13 streets and 85 communities. This contributes a lot to boosting urban-rural cultural balanced development and thoroughly implementing the prominent overall goal of building “the world garden city” of Chengdu, and the strategy positioning of building “commercial highland• liveable Wuhou”; meanwhile, it is the significant theme cultural activity for our district to implement the slogan of carrying forward the Chinese culture and building up a joint spiritual home for Chinese Nation advanced in the 17th Congress of CPC, and to praise forward the excellent culture of whole Chinese nation in the advantage of our traditional festival.
