Approved by the provincial govement of Sichuan and verified by the State Development and Reform commission, Wuhou New Town Industrail District is a provincial development zone, which is integrated by Wuhou Science Park and Lady’s Shoe Center of China. With a planning area of 8.6 km2, the park is aimed to grow into industrial headquarters focusing on light industry design and software development. The park was successively awarded as “Examplar and Harmonious Labor Relation Industrial Park Nationwide”, “City of Lady’s Shoe in China”, “ Excellent Industrial Park of Sichuan Province”, “ Example of Industrial Park Construction in Chengdu”, “Example Unit in Chengdu”, “Example Organization for Environment Mangement”, “Industrial Ecological Park in Sichuan Province” and so forth. The affiliated center for starting business is evaluated by the Ministry of Science and Technology as nation-class hi-tech business-starting center.

There totally are 333 enterprises in the park. In terms of high-technology industry, the world top 500 enterprises, such as Emerson, Dupont, SBX Taiwan Synnex and domestic well-known enterprises, such as Wisesoft and Digital China, as well as other famous enterprises, such as Chengdu Rainbow Appliance (Group) Shares Co., Ltd., Sichuan Jinjiang Electronic Science and Technology Co., Ltd., Sichuan Lijun Business Co,. Ltd. and Chengdu Dongfang KWH Environmental Protection Catalyst Co., Ltd. are stationed in the park. With regard to local competitive industries, such as shoe industry, a domestically influential shoe manufacturing base has been built, of which the industry link and supplementary service are perfect. The base has successfully held the third “International Shopping Festival of City of Lady’ Shoe of China”. In the base, there are reputed shoe enterprises, including Aiminer, Kameido, Gucci, Wujun, etc.
At preent, the incoming and outgoing line passway in transformer substation of the park has been biult for use; 6 roads, such as Third Wulong Road and so on are also open to the traffic; functions of “one base five centers” are improved continuously; the metals trading market for shoe leathering also begins to work; the construction for the research and developemnt center with a construction of 75 thousand square meters goes forward smoothly. Next, focusing on constructing a nationwide women’s shoe industry core area, an accumulation area of hi-tech enterprises in Chengdu and a pioneer district with exllecent urbanization and harmonious development, we should overall push forward the construction of industrial park and create an exllecent sci-tech new town near the Third Ring Road.
